Holidays! (or are they?)

Hey all!
Well holidays have made it to us, we get a break from the classes, but not really from work but hey! at least we can just chill in our pajamas... :)
This week we've been working on thesis layouts and technical.. so corel and I have become great- great friends (sarcasm required) hehe... So, as a break from my love sessions with corel i have been looking at fashion - yes, i know, its an addiction but here are some of my favs! Enjoy xo

All lit up!

Well hello there! Shocking as the term comes to an end that we are almost at the end of the year (gasps and reaches for stress ball)... BUT we doing it.. I remember thinking- "I cant do btech! I just cant" then i realized i was already doing it and had been for three months at that point. hah. Well, this week we had a hand in for our design of our products... and so i thought that id have a little show-and-tell.
Four products: A fashion piece and three lights all speak of different types of personalities and therefore the four quarters of the site. Each brings in the firefly concept with clustering and a delicate touch of illumination. Each focuses on the phases of human life- the basics of human survival. But enough talk, lets look at the results... still in development but yes.

Shoot once, kill twice

Yep! Im gonna be catching my dear forgotten blog up as i have been rejecting it.. but no longer! heh -.- So, as i stated in the previous blog, two spaces are redesigned.. yep this is true! So the 2nd is the Underground.. This has been the struggle of the year.. ok wait.. i take that back- the whole project has been a struggle except for the fairytale section of the design- go figure! But! The Underground has gone from Bar, to Cocktail lounge, to Cafe, to...... SPA! Whaaat? I know what your thinking: "Drink to spa? Ok?" During a presentation it was made so clear that i had duplicated functions (tisk tisk) and this was not ideal and as I have a hotel, why not have a spa area! Thanks to Lene for lighting that lightbulb! This sounds good and well, but anyone who knows me, knows that Taashi and the SPA (dum-dum-dum) do not get along.. as one of my dear friends said: When i dip my foot in the pool it is considered a pedicure. Though not quite that bad, the ironic situation is that I am not about the pampering and 'foofi' things that really relate to a spa- oh! oh! and to make it worse i hate a bathtub.. showers- ok but bath.. nope! So, this was a dilemma.. but im finding it quite exciting and confusing.. but good. I dont know why people do some of the items i have read up on- such as the snake massage.. hmm.. i dont know about that one... But hopefully within the next week a new design will emerge and show me what the Spa thing is all about!

Long time no write i know... BUT... Im back and have some new developments.. hehe.. Well, how many weeks into the term - and year- i am still designing and redesigning.. ahhah.. not good! The Emerywheel and the Underground have now been redone... Shocking i know but yes! With the past exam, the Emerywheel was a space that lacked warmth, though emphasized the shed building itself... This had to change.. Thus... An integration of the somewhat forgotten African concept is brought in... The design is still in progression but, im happy to say, its looking warmer and more.. well, designed. Take a look at the inspiration images that got me there.. or rather, almost there..
