Inspiration in the Detail

Hello everyone! Happy belated Easter! A break was necessary- the question, did anyone get one.. ;) Heh... So on to the more important discussion...

Inspiration is in the detail... I constantly find that the grand scheme of things takes over, and almost overrules the interest in he deeper meaning... This is why a magnifying glass must be utilized at eac stage of design to look deeper and delve into the full potential, dynamics and attributes of a product, inspiration and design...

Case and Point. The precedent of a full design, lies in the presence of a product... Designer Sarah Cihat. This designer focuses on the creation of contrasting elements, whether it be her collection of old and used plates contrasted with a modern and bold print, or her collection of bold porcelien bowls with rich golden chain work... A precedent for the design of the Golden Quarter, Sarah Cihat is an inspiration and an example why we, as designers, must never over look the detail...
